Loved this one. Very chill in the beginning, and all through the entire piece really. I liked how the song started off quiet and slow, and then kicked up the pace a little bit; very nice touch if I don't say so myself. The beat was steady, and seemed to flow with the song very well, too. The screech towards the middle, while slightly distracting, did seemingly add to the song, and was a nice addition.

The only complaint I can think to make is that it seemed to drift a little too long towards the middle before it changed pace and sped back up again. This can usual cause some harm to the song if left out for too long. It needs to constantly have a single flavor to it so it can keep the song interesting, and non-confusing.

Great job, either way. Keep up the good work!

Seems like a very nice piece, honestly. I love the slow pace to it, it is very relaxing and soothing as well. From listening to it I feel like it would be a good song for something like Animal Crossing, or a puzzle game of the sort. I admit, the song makes me slightly sleepy in a good way. I enjoy the soothing tone it has to it.

The only complaint I have is that it was kind of short for a piece of this quality. It could have been longer, and you could have possibly gradually increased the pace of it over time to add a dash of flavor to it. Either way, very well done, and a very nice piece. Keep it up!

:D wow that is a very positive response... thank you!

And I'll take that piece of advice in mind... maybe I can do a sort of re-take on this song whenever I get the chance to spice it up a little :)

As usual, I am thoroughly impressed by your work here on the Audio Portal. I absolutely love the up-beat and happy feeling that this song has to it, indeed. The string section towards the middle was a nice edition as well, I must admit.

I don't really have any complaints for this one. It seems all very so nice, and I honestly couldn't help but be reminded of the Zelda games when listening to it. It seems like a theme that would suit the clock town section of the game very nicely. Either way, as usual I love the song, it was well done, and this time it has a very happy tone. I love the variation you have in the themes for these songs.

Keep up the good work!

Oh, I really like this one. I enjoy the dark overtone it has as it starts out, definitely a plus in my book. I've always been a fan of dark-sounding music personally. The whole song seems like it would be good as background music for something like a consistent spree of bad guys winning battles. The whole flow of it fits together perfectly with the guitar and the rest of the music.

Definitely well made, I can certainly say that I will be looking forward to hearing more of your work. This is more than enough to convince me that you are extremely talented at this. This is one of those rare songs that sends chills down my spine.

EagleGuard responds:

That really is a huge compliment for me, thank you! I'm glad the dark tone would be fitting enough for the scene you describe: that's exactly the kind of stuff I had in mind! I don't write this kind of music very often, so I'm glad you enjoyed the outcome. Maybe I'll write some more 'dark music' in the future as well.

Thanks for the review!

Very nicely done tune. I loved the piano done for it, it has a very nice rhythm to it, and made the song have that nice classical feel at the beginning, and then you mix in the beat, and other audio tunes. No real complaints about this one, except that I feel like I've heard this before. I am not calling it stolen, just slightly over done.

Other than the 'mainstream' complaint, I have nothing bad to say about this. Really well done, and sounds like a really nice song. Keep up the good work!

Thanks for the quick feedback, even though I didn't see it for a whole week lol :)
I never thought that any part of it was really done before, but you've listened to different stuff and a lot more than I have, being in the review request club and all, so I respect that statement. Maybe it has been done somewhere before and I just happened to implement it into my song without knowing.

Really nice song. I love the way it starts out with a slow and soothing pace before eventually quickening up a bit. It keeps a nice, steady rhythm all throughout and I love the tone and feel of it all. This is definitely one of those rare songs that manages to send chills down my spine, as well. This song seems like it would go great in the background of an adventure game during exploration.

Either way, very good work, great song. Keep up the good work, I look forward to seeing more of this type of work from you.

Hello there!

The steady rhythm is the classic 4/4 kick drum beat - a kick on every single quarter note.

The overall ambiance, I'd have to say, is *probably* because of the amazing pad I found in my library of sounds.

I'm glad you like it! RunningShadows does some interesting music of this type, and I'll try to make more music similar to this. :)

It seemed like a decent enough song, a lot better than anything I've ever been able to make myself, anyway. It kept a really nice rhythm the entire way through, but I can't say I'm in favor of the change of pace at 00:42. It seemed too quick to change, and I would recommend easing into the next phase of the song next time.

Other than that, it seems to be put together in a reasonable fashion. The beat is okay, and I don't really have any complaints other than the one listed. While this isn't one of those songs that really gets me going, and sends chills down my spine, it is definitely good. Keep it up, and you will get better, friend.

I love this song. It has a very nice flow to it, and it almost seems like something that would fit in well with a sad story or adventure. The piano was played extremely well, and is very nice on the ears. It would definitely go in well with the "low point" of most sad stories.

Overall, this is a very professionally done piece. It is more than obvious that you are talented in this field of music, and I would personally recommend that you stick with it. You could go places with this talent, people WOULD pay for it if you would let them. Hopefully it will get to the point where you are okay with taking money for your talents.

I enjoyed the flow of the music the most of all for this piece, especially how it starts off at a nice slow, cool pace, before gradually picking up the speed, while keeping a nice cool tone, and depth to it. I look forward to hearing more work from you, keep it up.

Hi, Sectus!

"I love this song."
Thanks! :D

"It is more than obvious that you are talented in this field of music, and I would personally recommend that you stick with it."
Really? This was just a song idea I had for awhile - worked it into a 'song' over the course of about 6 months in piano improv.

"Hopefully it will get to the point where you are okay with taking money for your talents."
I AM okay with taking money for it. :P I have the adf.ly link for people who want slightly higher quality at the cost of 5 seconds, and the song it also up on my band camp in .wav quality for people who want that. :D I just want EVERYONE to be able to hear the music, even the people who can't pay for it.

"I look forward to hearing more work from you, keep it up."
Shall be granted.

Thanks!

Very nicely made song indeed. It is something that can really calm me down after a hard day, and has a nice ring to it. You can really tell that there was a lot of effort put into this, as it is not only a very nice beat, it is also long enough to not leave me wanting more.

I can't really say that I have any complaints for this particular piece, as everything just seems to flow together so nicely. The ending bit was my favorite due to the slow end to the pace, and you did very well with the drop off for the finish. While I can't honestly say that it was good for repeating, it is still an altogether great piece of music.

You could have sped the song up a little more during the middle to give it a more electric feel, despite the fact that it has done well without. That is more something just from my personal perspective. As I said before, the fade out during the end was the best part of it.

This song was very well done. It is extremely easy to follow, and has a very nice, soothing tune to it. I really like it, and I think it's done great all around.

Flow - The song flows expertly as I've mentioned above. It mixes beautifully with the other background effects of the song, and it is really pleasing to the ears to hear. There isn't really anything that I can complain about it this section as it was done so well, good work!

Effects - The effects of the song were beautiful, similar to the flow. They provide a really urban feel to the song, and make it work so well. The only complaint I can think to make is that you might have made the beats a little stronger, to support the main part of the song.

Overall - Wonderfully made song, it is really well made, easy to listen to, and flows expertly. It is clear you've had practice in music making, and I'd advise you to keep it up, as this is well done. Good job, man!
