Seems like a very nice piece, honestly. I love the slow pace to it, it is very relaxing and soothing as well. From listening to it I feel like it would be a good song for something like Animal Crossing, or a puzzle game of the sort. I admit, the song makes me slightly sleepy in a good way. I enjoy the soothing tone it has to it.

The only complaint I have is that it was kind of short for a piece of this quality. It could have been longer, and you could have possibly gradually increased the pace of it over time to add a dash of flavor to it. Either way, very well done, and a very nice piece. Keep it up!

:D wow that is a very positive response... thank you!

And I'll take that piece of advice in mind... maybe I can do a sort of re-take on this song whenever I get the chance to spice it up a little :)

Oh, I really like this one. I enjoy the dark overtone it has as it starts out, definitely a plus in my book. I've always been a fan of dark-sounding music personally. The whole song seems like it would be good as background music for something like a consistent spree of bad guys winning battles. The whole flow of it fits together perfectly with the guitar and the rest of the music.

Definitely well made, I can certainly say that I will be looking forward to hearing more of your work. This is more than enough to convince me that you are extremely talented at this. This is one of those rare songs that sends chills down my spine.

EagleGuard responds:

That really is a huge compliment for me, thank you! I'm glad the dark tone would be fitting enough for the scene you describe: that's exactly the kind of stuff I had in mind! I don't write this kind of music very often, so I'm glad you enjoyed the outcome. Maybe I'll write some more 'dark music' in the future as well.

Thanks for the review!

Very nicely done tune. I loved the piano done for it, it has a very nice rhythm to it, and made the song have that nice classical feel at the beginning, and then you mix in the beat, and other audio tunes. No real complaints about this one, except that I feel like I've heard this before. I am not calling it stolen, just slightly over done.

Other than the 'mainstream' complaint, I have nothing bad to say about this. Really well done, and sounds like a really nice song. Keep up the good work!

Thanks for the quick feedback, even though I didn't see it for a whole week lol :)
I never thought that any part of it was really done before, but you've listened to different stuff and a lot more than I have, being in the review request club and all, so I respect that statement. Maybe it has been done somewhere before and I just happened to implement it into my song without knowing.

Really nice song. I love the way it starts out with a slow and soothing pace before eventually quickening up a bit. It keeps a nice, steady rhythm all throughout and I love the tone and feel of it all. This is definitely one of those rare songs that manages to send chills down my spine, as well. This song seems like it would go great in the background of an adventure game during exploration.

Either way, very good work, great song. Keep up the good work, I look forward to seeing more of this type of work from you.

SkyeWint responds:

Hello there!

The steady rhythm is the classic 4/4 kick drum beat - a kick on every single quarter note.

The overall ambiance, I'd have to say, is *probably* because of the amazing pad I found in my library of sounds.

I'm glad you like it! RunningShadows does some interesting music of this type, and I'll try to make more music similar to this. :)

I love this song. It has a very nice flow to it, and it almost seems like something that would fit in well with a sad story or adventure. The piano was played extremely well, and is very nice on the ears. It would definitely go in well with the "low point" of most sad stories.

Overall, this is a very professionally done piece. It is more than obvious that you are talented in this field of music, and I would personally recommend that you stick with it. You could go places with this talent, people WOULD pay for it if you would let them. Hopefully it will get to the point where you are okay with taking money for your talents.

I enjoyed the flow of the music the most of all for this piece, especially how it starts off at a nice slow, cool pace, before gradually picking up the speed, while keeping a nice cool tone, and depth to it. I look forward to hearing more work from you, keep it up.

Hi, Sectus!

"I love this song."
Thanks! :D

"It is more than obvious that you are talented in this field of music, and I would personally recommend that you stick with it."
Really? This was just a song idea I had for awhile - worked it into a 'song' over the course of about 6 months in piano improv.

"Hopefully it will get to the point where you are okay with taking money for your talents."
I AM okay with taking money for it. :P I have the adf.ly link for people who want slightly higher quality at the cost of 5 seconds, and the song it also up on my band camp in .wav quality for people who want that. :D I just want EVERYONE to be able to hear the music, even the people who can't pay for it.

"I look forward to hearing more work from you, keep it up."
Shall be granted.

Thanks!

I am a giant Star Wars nerd, and I have been since I was very little. Darth Vader being my favorite character, his theme song was always something that put me in a state of awe, something that this remix does as well.

Flow - The song flows wonderfully along, the drums and bass providing a wonderful treat to the ears. The song also loops perfectly, so this is the sort of thing that one can listen to for hours on end without ever becoming tired of it. You have done extremely well in the department of flow, or at least that it how I see it. Well Done!

Bass - This is obviously a major part of the song, and it was done beautifully. It really has a divine sense of power that comes with it, none of it hitting too softly, and all of it having that awesome powerful effect that makes the song so awesome and intimidating.

Instruments - The instruments were played wonderfully, and they compliment the main portion of the song exquisitely. They really help push along that wonderful sense of power the song has that I keep mentioning. Good work here!

Overall - A very well made song that is fun to listen to, and is really easy on the ears. Very powerfully done, and expertly handled. I look forward to seeing more of your work in the future, it is obvious you are very skilled at making this type of thing.

Lalalo14 responds:

Wow! Thanks for the great review man! I'm glad you liked it! :)

Very nice song, I really love the flow of it, and just the way it sounds in general. It is obvious that you must have spent a long time working on it, and I can really appreciate it. Good work, on your behalf.

Flow - The flow of the song is excellent, never misses a beat, and does exactly what I expected, which is always nice. I love the adventurous and upbeat feel of the song, it's something you can really get happy and eager about. The opening flow of the song, and how it transitions from slow and steady into fast and boisterous is very well done. Good work.

Effects - Obviously the transitional and progressive effects are all brilliantly done, and compliment the rest of the song perfectly. I love the effect at the end you used to end the song as well, it doesn't slow and then stop, but just stops, which is an excellent addition to the song itself. Truly well done, keep up the good work.

Overall - Very well made song, something that I can really appreciate, and I know it must have taken a long time to make this. You are really talented at music making, and I would advise you keep it up. There are honestly a lot of rewards to be reaped from this type of effort. Good Job!

Oakwood responds:

Thank you for these kind words Sectus! :)

I do like the soothing effect that this song provides, it's something that can really calm me down, and help me unwind after a long day.

Flow - This is something that could use some slight improvements. The song seems rather disjointed and unfocused, which is hard to get used to. If you could keep it flowing in one direction, and keep the mood all the same, that might help as well.

Strings - The guitar is indeed a major part of this piece, but like the rest of the song, it seems rather disjointed in the fact that it seems to have no clear direction that it is going. Maybe it's just that I'm not one for ambient songs, but this sort of threw me for a loop.

Effects - The effects and background music are beautiful, no complaints. They fit the rest of the song, despite it's detached feeling and flow. Don't get me wrong, it was certainly well done, but it just doesn't seem to fit the rest of the song well enough.

Overall - Certainly a well made song, and I realize that you did spend some time on this, which I can appreciate, but it could still use some slight improvements, and maybe a boost to the continuity. Keep up the good work, and practice, practice, practice.

Twone responds:

As far as practicing goes, I've been doing just that. My next submission is definitely going to be another electronically made piece. But, thanks for the review on my first electronic work!

Good Work

This work is very nice and soothing...enjoyable.

I swear this sounds EXACTLY like a song from the sims

JaqOshinou responds:

Hmm. I've never played the Sims. I'm guessing there's only enough songs in the world they're bound to sound similar.

Not Very Good.

I'm not really a fan of fast music like this, I like it to be slower, so you can stay with the rhythm and keep with the song, y'know? If you make any more songs, please try and slow them down, make them so people can relate to them, and like them.
